All BROQ SAFETY products are manufactured to comply with relevant industry standards. Where products are tested and adhere to defined standards, the following icons will be shown. These icons are both compliance and design features. BROQ SAFETY is in the progress of validating products against EU standards to ensure all the range meets relevant compliance.
HI VISIBILITY MATERIAL
BROQ SAFETY high visibility garments are designed for workers in high risk environment who need to be protected from work place hazards by being seen. Garments with this icon are tested and comply with Australian Standard AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 which outlines the requirements for fluorescent capabilities and the chromaticity reading to ensure that bright colours are within the required colour range.
DAY & NIGHT
Clothing with Day/Night icon combines both the Class D & Class N standards. They are manufactured with both hi-visibility fabric and retro-reflective tape which must have a compliant retro-reflective tape configuration. D/N clothing allows you to be seen more easily in both day and night conditions. Garments showing this icon are tested and comply with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 and 4602.1:2011.
DAY ONLY
Clothing with the Day Only icon is designed to be worn during the day time only and are not suitable for night use. It is made from hi-visibility fabrics and is ideal for high risk environments as the high visibility colours will ensure that you are seen. Garments showing this icon are tested and comply with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 and 4602.1:2011.
BROQ REFLECTIVE TAPE
50mm reflective tape is used across 99% of the BROQ Safety range because we know the importance of being seen. BROQ Tape has been developed using the latest retroreflective technology and is fully compliant with Australian Standard AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 standard. It is suitable for up to 40 washes and lasts the life of the garment.
SPF 50+
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. These ratings measure the protection against ultraviolet radiation from the sun. A rating of 50+ is excellent protection and is the highest rating available. Garments that comply with this standard are tested in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 4399:1996. Only material covered body areas are protected.
WATER RESISTANT
Clothing with the Water Resistant icon are made with fabrics that are water repellent or have a water resistant coating. They also feature a membrane or backing for improved breathability. The wearer is also kept dry with sealed seams to ensure water does not penetrate the garment. Garments that comply with this standard are tested in accordance with Australian Standard AS 2001.2.18-1987.
DRYTECH
When you see the DryTech icon you can be guaranteed that your garment will boost airflow for ultimate comfort. Utilising breathable mesh ventilation in key perspiration areas of the garments, DryTech is combined with a lightweight fabric to keep you cool at work.
